All too often we let the fear of who we may become or the fear of how others might react or feel about who we become to hold us back. We allow it to hold us back in our physical and spiritual journeys.
I just spoke to a woman today who was taking dance classes and was afraid to really go for it and fully express herself, because she was afraid that the others who might not be as good would feel inadequate. This is a common experience for empaths. How often have you done something similar?
We have spent a life time matching other peoples energies, without even knowing it. Because of this most of the fear we feel doesn’t even belong to us, but you can bet it’s been holding you back. Think about it. If you are taking in everyone’s experience, when do you have time to have your own? Hell, when do you have time to even dream of your own experience? Lots of times the experiences we are choosing, the ones we are often to afraid to have, also belong to someone else.
So other people’s fear has been holding you back. And when you realize this, you usually feel relieved. Until you realize you have to start from scratch, or at the very least, sift through it all to find what is really yours and what isn’t. This creates a whole new level of fear. The fear of who you really, who you want to be and who you can be.
Being an empath, can be scary, confusing and overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be. When you recognize your empathy as a powerful tool to connect with your own soul, your own self love and Source. You are born anew. And although you may be unsure of things, that fear always dissipates, because now you know you are powered by the pure love of Source.
